The Power of One: Change your Footprint

The goal of the project is to empower adults and seniors from local communities of the partners’ organizations to make a positive impact, to make a positive change in making a better future for the planet and people by exploration of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).


Participants will learn how to manifest these goals in their own lives. The project will raise awareness of sustainability choices and contribute to the achievement of the 17SDGs. The project is based on the approach that the change can start from one person, one activity, everyone has the power to start a positive change. The key for the project is that change starts with individuals taking responsibility, with their courage to do the best they can no matter how insignificant they may feel.


The project goal is also to equip adult and senior educators with tools to design and facilitate digital and distance(remote) learning, adapt digital competencies and build the capacity of adult educators to implement online teaching and learning by using the special methodology, creative technics, inclusive learning, engagement tool. The project is also a need for participating organizations as it will bring long-lasting effects by enabling participating organizations to gain experience in international cooperation and strengthening partners; capacities in building readiness and managing them towards digital education in a creative, sustainable, and inclusive manner.

Intellectual Output

Footprint Calculator and SDG's scenarios

The goal of this output is to make self-analysis by partners staff, people involved, and target groups and to create a WORKSHOPS SCENARIOS that showcases solutions to lower the ecological footprint.

For instance, cutting food waste can move the date of Overshoot Day. The workshop scenarios will cover all 17 SDGs- there will be 17 workshop scenarios.

The output will also explain what is a footprint and overshoot day and the materials will be available on the project website, they will be translated into partners’ languages. The 17 scenarios will be for adult educators to use directly with adults and seniors together with the materials and footprint calculator.

Handbook

HOW TO TEACH INCLUSIVE IN DIGITAL ERA: METHODOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE LEARNING.

The output aims to equip ADULT EDUCATORS with tools and knowledge on how to create an

accessible INCLUSIVE distance and digital learning with a focus on SDG and seniors.

Handbook will pay attention to the INCLUSION ASPECT of education and in this way contributes to SDG10 - reduce inequalities with a special focus on SENIORS.

Sustainable Engagement

This Project Result consists of a comprehensive package of theory and tools for the ADULT EDUCATORS and ADULT LEARNERS for self-study to trigger their engagement and make target groups excited, empowered, and engaged in the sustainability issues.

This Project Result consists of a comprehensive package of tools for the adult and seniors educators as facilitators of the enhancing sustainability and SDGs by combining workshops with creative technics with distance and digital learning.

This package is targeted at the adult and senior educators who will provide accompaniment and workshops to the changing people' s footprint and make a positive environmental impact.
